The story of the glove maker-perfumer
Courtois Paris is delighted to announce the launch of its very first fragrance:
THE PERFUME

Between history and tradition, Courtois has set out on a quest for the senses to offer you a holistic experience.
DISCOVER THE STORY OF THE MEETING BETWEEN THE GLOVE MAKER AND THE PERFUMER
Since the Middle Ages,
Leather gloves became popular in Europe. They were used both to protect hands from the elements and as a fashion accessory for noblemen. Tanners settled in the town of Grasse due to its strategic proximity to the trade routes to Genoa and Pisa.
It was only under the reign of the Sun King that the Master Glove-Maker Perfumer patent was issued to a corporation of glove-makers.
He is also credited with creating a market for scented gloves by imposing a tax on ordinary gloves, but not on scented ones. This strategy stimulated demand for scented gloves and led to a boom in the glove-perfuming profession.
This is how the story of the glove met that of perfume!
THE COURTOIS PARIS PERFUME
Paying homage to this beautiful story, Courtois Paris has created a unique fragrance with perfumer Blaise Mautin . The marriage of felt, leather, and Royal Musk is celebrated by Courtois Paris as the origins of perfumery.
Rich and enveloping, Le Parfum Courtois Paris blends the round, woody notes of musk and Tonka bean with the fresh, invigorating notes of citrus and Vetiver.
A fragrance that appeals to both women and men, lasting for several hours and staying with you until evening.
A meeting between craftsmanship and the art of perfume, an emotion for the senses and for the heart.
